Requirements (must have):

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar SHE role within an industrial environment.
• Solid knowledge of Romanian SHE legislation and related compliance requirements.
• Relevant national authorizations for occupational health and safety.
• Emergency management and risk assessment experience.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Computer literacy: MS Office, Microsoft Project, document management tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• English language - intermediate to advanced level (spoken and written).

Requirements (nice to have):

• Previous experience in food & beverage or manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with SHE systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or other internationally recognized standards.
• Design and delivery of SHE training programs.
• Experience in coordinating with military/civil protection authorities in emergency scenarios.
• Certification in fire safety or radiation protection is an advantage.

Role Overview:

The SHE Coordinator is responsible for organizing and overseeing all activities related to workplace safety, occupational health, environmental protection, and emergency preparedness at the Buzau site. This role ensures full compliance with national legislation and Ursus Breweries' SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) policies and procedures. The SHE Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining and improving the Integrated SHE Management System, offering support to all departments, training employees and contractors, and acting as the main liaison with relevant authorities.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (formerly OHSAS 18001).
• Organize and deliver SHE induction and training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to the Integrated SHE Management System.
• Monitor legal compliance regarding safety, health, environmental protection, and emergency response.
• Identify, assess, and manage occupational risks and environmental impact.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and ensure appropriate drills and documentation.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and non-conformities; ensure root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Maintain regular communication with labor, environmental, emergency, and civil protection authorities.
• Lead or support internal audits and inspections; ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
• Supervise the implementation of safety measures for hazardous substances and nuclear activities (if applicable).
• Support engineering teams in designing emergency procedures and safe working practices.
• Coordinate the activities of the fire safety team and first responders.
• Ensure records for work permits, workplace authorizations, safety signage, and SHE-related documentation are properly maintained.
• Monitor contractor activities and ensure their registration in the electronic contractor management system (CMOS).
• Propose and manage the annual SHE training plan and department budget.
• Act as secretary of the Workplace Safety and Health Committee (CSSM).
• Provide support during external SHE audits and inspections.
