• Is responsible to inform managers about all aspects of occupational health and safety, environmental protection,firefighting and prevention;
• Offers support in the approval process with authorities for all matters requiring permits;
• Offers support in the process of monitoring compliance with current ESH legislation, with Vitesco's internal regulations and to provide expertise on how this legislation can be met;
• Is responsible to insure continuous improvement of environment,occupational health and safety;
• Establishing,implement and maintain local Environment management system according to ISO14001,legal requirements ,internal rules;
• Implement, maintain and develop Occupational H&S MS in accordance with the local legal requirements and internal regulations of the corporation.Perform analysyis of ESH aspects in order to set ESH programs,objectives and targets.

• Defines and monitors the ESH programs,local ESH objectives and targets;
• Develop and maintain local standards in the field of Environmental and waste management;
• Is responsible to asess compliance with occupational health and safety as well as environmental protection standards and regulations when new techniques /equipment are introduced and to advise on how such standards and regulations can be met;
• Prepares specific ESH instructions according to environmental protection&labor safety and health regulations related to workplace characteristics;
• Monitoring and updating Corrective and preventive action plan CPAP;
• Participating in internal and external audits regarding Environmental and OH&S management systems;
• Has to follow the fulfillment of the measures disposed by the authorities (environment &work inspectors) on the occasion of their visits;
• Is responsible to organize and perform regular trainings for local staff and external contractors regarding the environmental protection and occupational safety and health within location Timisoara and Sibiu;
• Increase awareness of local staff with respect to their ESH related duties;
• Prepares technical documentation necessary for the purpose of informing and educating employees on environmental regulations and SSM trainings (training materials, tests);
• Offers support in the fulfilment of requirements placed upon the company's safety organization;
• Offers support in identification of emergencies and establish emergency response plans;
• Offers support in accident investigation and establishing root cause analysis;
• Offers support in comunicating methods of raising employees awareness with the aim of sentising employees to prevention of accidents , work related illness, environmental damage and fire.
