A Snapshot of Your Day

The position is centered on enhancing and creating new products and processes while ensuring they align with established scientific and engineering standards. Key duties include supporting the development of business plans and budgets, evaluating quality and safety test results for compliance, keeping informed about industry trends, delivering technical presentations, and overseeing product development to achieve specified goals. Additionally, it may involve handling the regulatory approval process for products in certain organizations.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Responsible for improving or developing new products, components, equipment, systems, technologies, or processes including:
• Ensuring that research and design methodologies meet established scientific and engineering standards
• Assisting with formulating business plans and budgets for product development
• Analyzing quality/safety test results to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
• Keeping abreast of new developments in the industry and translating those developments into new and viable options for the organization and customers
• Organizing technical presentations to customers and/or industry groups
• Monitoring product development outcomes to ensure technical, functional, cost, and timing targets are met In some organizations, may be responsible for managing product regulatory approval process

What You Bring

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or a related quantitative field
• At least 3 years of experience working in data science/ data analytics environment
• Proven proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing and experimental design
• Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (ex: scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Pytorch)
• Demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools and techniques (ex: Matplotlib, ggplot, Tableau, Power BI)
• Solid experience with database query languages (ex: SQL)
• Demonstrable experience in prompt engineering for various data science tasks.
• Understanding of the capabilities and limitations of different Large Language Model architectures (ex: GPT, Gemini)
