Requirements
The Appsbroker Application Support specialists provide technical expertise across all our bespoke Appsbroker solutions. We collaborate closely with Google's engineering groups to give technical solutions that enables our customers' businesses to grow through the use of Google and Appsbroker products. Technical skills and experience are important but we are also looking for a person who is dynamic, well motivated and with a willingness to learn and grow with new technologies. We are passionate about what we do and get really excited about the way cloud-based technology has developed. We believe that the argument for moving to the cloud has been won and we are looking forward to helping our customers maximise the benefit of this ever-developing opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
You will support in-depth our software developed on the Google App Engine and the related Google Cloud Platform services. In this highly cross-functional role, you are the voice of our customers users and problem-solver to the development teams. You will process incidents, requests and other service information to ensure we are constantly improving the customer experience with the services and products purchased from us. Evolving into an Appsbroker Google expert, you will work closely with Operations and Deployment Leads and also serve as the central point of contact for our other departments.

- Solve customer technical issues with Google and Appsbroker technology, brainstorming with the deployment team when necessary.
- Become an expert on the Google and Appsbroker bespoke applications and propagate knowledge to the rest of the product support team by providing guidance and sharing best practices.
- Develop and deliver product support strategy.
- Bug management and feature management: provide product expertise to solve complex user issues, compile feature requests
- Evangelize the use of Google for Work through events, blog posts and other PR activities.
- Using system documentation to identify application support requirements on a per customer basis
- A good understanding of the principles of application design and awareness of testing methodologies
- Experience in application support, managing, logging and tracking defects from open to close
Essential skills
- BS in Computer Science or related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in application support operations, technology-related service management, and/or consulting.
- Software application troubleshooting / configuration or testing.
- Demonstrable experience of Javascript based development or bug fixing (or ideally Google Appscript) skills
- Ability to speak directly to customer technical teams, with experience adapting communications to the technical level of the audience and presenting technical materials to users.
- Self-starter with ability to work on multiple initiatives at the same time.
- Excellent English, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively cross-functionally
One or more of the following
- Software application troubleshooting / configuration or testing
- Coding / scripting skills in one or more of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Java, PHP, Perl or C++.
- Experience in working a source controlled environments
- Software configuration or release management experience.
