As a Senior Software Developer for DP, you will have the opportunity to be part of the step-by-step development of a Linux based middleware platform which will be the core component for the future high-end products of Commercial Vehicles (e.g. telematic & tolling units, onboard recorders and free programmable clusters).

Main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- participate in the definition of the platform software requirements;

- design concepts for new software components within the platform;

- implement software components according to the defined specifications;

- test software components according to the defined specifications (unit and integration testing); We are: - committed, passionate and proud of our results

Your responsibilities will be to:

- participate in the definition of the platform software requirements;

- design concepts for new software components within the platform;

- implement software components according to the defined specifications;

- test software components according to the defined specifications (unit and integration testing).

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.

Job requirements:

* University degree - preferably Computer Science/ Electronics/ Telecommunications related degree
* Good knowledge of C++ & C programming languages (minimum 5 years of experience)
* Very good understanding of OOP / OOD concepts
* Experience in embedded systems
* Basic knowledge of microcontrollers
* C++ framework for feature lifecycle and power management
* Knowledge of different technologies (EOL, IPC, WiFi, GSM, GPS, DSRC, Bluetooth) will be a plus
* Linux kernel development experience is a plus
* Good English skills in writing, reading and speaking
* Soft skills: problem solver, perfectionist, analysis capacity, commitment
