Requirements

• Sustained work experience within a design team with high personal results. Expertise in the events and/ or online field is a plus.
• Professional skills: creative services; concept creation; graphic design skills; layout skills; desktop publishing tools; multi task ability; problem-solving skills.
• Personal skills: attention to details; deadline-oriented; flexibility; open to communication; handles feedback and/ or rejection; customer focus; team player; focus on self-development and growth.

Responsibilities

• Thinking creatively in order to develop quality concepts, graphics and layouts for events, product illustrations, logos, websites, banners, newsletters and other online materials.
• Determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size.
• Estimating the time required to complete the work. Organizing and prioritizing in order to meet deadlines of multiple projects simultaneously.
• Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief. Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required. Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
• Liaising with external printers and suppliers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality.
• Maintaining a deep understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment.
• Working with and keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Flash.
