• Candidates with a background from IT Faculty such as: Automation, Computer Science, Mathematics or Informatics, Electrotechnics, Electronics and Telecommunications;
• Relevant experience in R&D on software and/or hardware development;
• Passionate about technical challenges and engineering;
• Gets things done;
• Interested in an embedded software career.

The engine is the "Heart" and the most complex system in a car.  In order to reach today's expectations of power delivery,
low fuel consumption and challenging emission regulations, a huge amount of computation power is necessary. 

The answer for this challenge: MultiCore controllers! 

Still, it sounds like a contradiction:
An ultra sophisticated system with ambitious real-time requirements v.s. a MultiCore world coming with a long list of real-time related challenges.
Then, why is it still so attractive ?

During our TechLab session you will find a lot of answers related to data consistency challenges, CPU load balancing concepts, performance index evaluation, response time, semaphore usage techniques, message passing concepts.

Practical experiments: 

You will have the opportunity to watch a live demo session, presenting the CPU load distribution on a real/latest generation gasoline Engine Control Unit.

Also you can play with different engine calibrations that are influencing the CPU load on the different cores.

Sophisticated engines, are requiring not only additional CPU power, but more important is a motivated team that builds this complex architecture.

What else should you know?
 

• The entrance is free but there is a limited number of 30 participants;
• The session will be held in Romanian;
• The TechLab session lasts 1.5 half hour;
• Only candidates who meet the requirements will receive a confirmation e-mail;
• You can apply for one or more TechLabs, but be recommend to pay attention to the date and the beginning hours because the TechLabs may overlap.
