These days everything seems to be in the Cloud, that includes as well also the mobile communications. In recent years, the core part of the mobile network has already been moved aggressively into the cloud, bringing operators new flexibility and lower costs. Our new challenge is to continue this integration towards RAN (Radio Access Network) and define new business models and new approach within telecommunication industry.

Building such networks is beyond exciting! Making them work the way we envision them serving our needs is an amazing engineering success every time! Tuning and optimizing their performance to almost incredible levels is an accomplishment that shifts concepts and pilots into credibility, both technologically and commercially!


Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be to perform advanced engineering of such networks like tuning, optimizing, measuring, planning and defining the performance measurement indicators for the new TelcoCloud mobile networks.

Additionally, during the customer introduction phase you will have the chance to validate the network performance of new features in our labs and also in live network. All above in close cooperation with all TelcoCloud teams within Nokia community.

The core activity will be to analyze the end to end performance over Cloud networks and Quality of Experience (QoE) for Nokia defined use case classes including Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G.

Qualifications

In order to achieve what we planned, we are looking for somebody who is technology addicted and ready to put its mark in the communication revolution.

For that we are looking for good team spirit, passionate to learn new things, curious, technology oriented, innovative, self-driven. Being close to the customers, we are also looking for somebody with good communication and presentation skills and willing to travel abroad on short business trips.

If we add to already mentioned soft skills the below technical competences we have the full recipe for perfect team member: good overview on virtualization and Cloud infrastructure and platforms (VMWare/OpenStack) as well as advanced knowledge of mobile communication networks (2G, 3G and/or 4G) with focus on architecture and algorithms. A good knowledge on network performance evaluation like Quality of Service and Experience (QoS and QoE) is preferred.
