Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electric/Telecom Engineering, Information Technology or related fields or relevant equivalent experience
•1 year of experience in a Telecom Environment or at least 3-5 years of work experience in a relevant field (system administration, IT helpdesk support)
•3-5 years of hands-on experience in administrator experience in UNIX operating systems (SUSE Linux Enterprise, Red Hat Enterprise Linux), TCP/IP networking, DNS, hardware knowledge (Sun, HP), shell scripting; interactions and experience in managing a Windows environment (AD administration, certificate authorities, file shares, DNS
•2 years hands-on experience with virtualization and cloud technologies
•Experience in customer support
Technical experience:
•Virtualization technologies, hypervisors: VMWare vSphere, NSX, RH KVM, Citrix XenServer, Microsoft HyperV
•Orchestration and container tools: Docker, Ansible, Openshift, vCloud Director
•Incident, Problem and Change management experience on the above components
•Linux/Unix Administration (various distributions): RedHat, Debian, SUSE, CentOS, Ubuntu
•Shell scripting experience (any other scripting experience in Perl, Python will make a difference)
•Datacenter management experience (power calculations, cooling, datacenter/server room design)
•Capacity and performance experience
Position description:
As a Cloud Infrastructure engineer, you will have ownership over the operational tool environment hosting the tools needed to measure, alert and facilitate access to the customer’s network which provides services for 22 mobile network operators at global level. Your duties will include
•Solving incidents during the normal operation of the farm
•Ensure the availability of the farm, by implementing or proposing the purchase of tools which support the objective (backup, virtual switching/routing, orchestration, automated deployment of new virtual machines)
•Conduct investigation, studies and propose new model/purchases for optimizing the load and improve the operation of the current farm
•Contribute to the design and deployment of new local points of presence for the own environment in different locations around the globe, if local conditions impose it.
•Participate in the evaluation of new cloud operation providers for own infrastructure of for the entire platform
•Assess and correct, if needed, the estimations for hardware purchasing across the plaform
•Study, assess, implement new monitoring/capacity/performance/reporting tools which will support the operational teams
•As during this year, the entire operational infrastructure will be internalized, you will have the opportunity to implement your ideas to a great extent for building this new infrastructure from ground up.
