Thales Candidate Privacy Policy

Thales and its subsidiaries are committed to protecting the privacy of all their employees and applicants. This privacy statement describes how we collect, store, use and protect your personal data in connection with Thales recruiting processes and how we ensure the respect of data protection legislation. After having acknowledged this statement, your acceptation of the following terms is necessary to continue with the online application process.

In order to handle your application, Thales is collecting personal data.

Purposes

Any Personal Data that is collected through www.hipo.ro website shall be collected and processed fairly and lawfully in accordance with data protection and privacy legislation applicable in Romania, notably the European Regulation n°2016/679 of April 27, 2016.

In any event, personal data shall only be used by Thales for the purpose of:

• collecting and processing your application for an employment position within Thales Group,
• or for matching your details with any of the other employment positions within Thales Group, unless you notify us in writing otherwise.

For the purposes above, Personal Data is defined as data which relates to a living individual who can be identified by that data or from other data or information which is in the possession of Thales. This will include, but is not limited to, the personal information provided by you in your profile form and other personal information provided in the application process.

Thales is committed to preserving the privacy of all personal data provided.

Legal basis

This processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interest pursued by Thales: ensure the recruitment of its workforce.

Collect of personal data

Personal data will be collected directly from you when you apply for a role in Thales, such as your name, address, contact information, work and educational history, achievements, CV (resume) and test results. We also may collect personal data about you from third parties, such as your references, prior employers.

To apply for a position, please, use the options provided by www.hipo.ro website. All replies to the fields with an asterisk in the candidate profile are mandatory to process your application; the other answers are optional and will not affect the examination of your application.

By submitting information and Personal Data to us through this website or otherwise and agreeing to this statement, you accept these Terms of Use and accept that Thales may process your Personal Data in accordance with these Terms of Use.

You agree that all information provided by you is in all respects true, accurate and up to date and is not, in any respect, misleading, deceptive or inaccurate or likely to mislead or deceive.

Notwithstanding anything contained in this statement, you agree to inform Thales in writing in the event that any of the information you have provided is no longer accurate or up to date during the period in which Thales Group retains your Personal Data.

Recipients - Transfers

Your personal data can be accessed by Thales managers in charge of the open position you applied for and by Human Resources as well as the Recruiters of the Romanian subsidiary of Thales Group.

Thales being an international Group, your personal data may be transferred outside of the data protection region your country is established within (for example outside of the European Union for EU employees), notably toward Thales recruiters located in the countries where Thales is established.

The transfer of your application data outside EU is for recruitment & selection purposes only. Thales will ensure adequate security measures for the transfer and processing of applicant data to the Thales locations in the countries where Thales operates.

By agreeing to this statement, you authorize Thales to process any personal data recorded in the form and you recognize that, for the needs of your application, your personal data can be transferred outside the European Union, in the countries where Thales is located.

Retention

Personal Data will not be stored for longer than is necessary. Unless you specifically request that we do not store your Personal Data regarding your application, we will retain the data for a period of 24 months from your latest contact with the recruitment site.

This is to give us the ability of matching your details to any future suitable vacancies that may arise. After this 24 months period your application will be deleted. You may request the removal of your Personal Data at any time earlier than this by notifying us in writing. If you do not wish Thales Group to retain your data, all personal details will be deleted.

Data subjects rights

In accordance with the relevant data protection regulations (such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation) you have the right to access your personal data at any time and the right to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

You also have the right to request from Thales to correct or erase your personal data as well as the right to ask for the restriction of processing, to object to the processing or ask for data portability.

Should you feel the need to lodge a complaint or escalate any issues regarding Thales’ handling of your request, please refer to the competent supervisory authority.

Consent

I have read and understood the conditions regarding the protection of my personal data by Thales and give my specific and informed consent:

• to the processing of all my data supplied within my applications for the purpose of recruitment, including through external organisations where these are used by Thales in the recruitment process.
• to the transfer of my personal data outside the European Union, in the countries where Thales is located, for recruitment and selection purposes.
