Find out why female role models matter and learn from Magdalena’s inspiring experience!
1. Why for women?
Magdalena looked closer to what's happening in the market and through various books and researches about the female population. She found out a very famous Cornell University research which was showing that men tend to overestimate their abilities and performance and often women underestimate both.
Women frequently expressed that they don't feel that they deserve the job and that they worry if they are skilled enough and if they outshine others.
2. How Magdalena tried to prevent this problem?
Magdalena created a space for women to express themselves, close to a mentorship program, where they could choose a mentor and at the same time a role model from the company. Through a program like this, women have the chance to hear a different perspective on their professional life goals, bring up the topics that they might have doubts and gain more confidence.
3. Why is helpful for women to have a female mentor?
In the pursuit of professional success, finding a role model who shares similar experiences and aspirations can be a significant advantage.
When we see someone with the same gender and a similar career trajectory as our own, it becomes easier to visualize our own potential. We observe someone who has overcome obstacles and achieved success in ways that feel personally relevant, making their journey seem attainable. This sense of possibility encourages us to emulate behaviors and strategies that have worked for them, propelling us towards our own aspirations.
