From newbie to Team Lead: how Bianca is making her mark in sales

There are many ways into an exciting Sales career at Veeam. Speaking a foreign language is just one of them, as Bianca Stefura, Team Lead in Bucharest, recently shared! We sat down with Bianca to learn about how she started her IT sales career with us and how it’s going. Read on!

No IT experience? No problem

A newbie to Veeam’s technical solutions, Bianca had to rely on her colleagues in Systems Engineering to bring her up to speed on the products when she first joined. “They were great. They taught me everything from A-Z in only a few weeks. I was able to get help from experienced Veeamers and learn some tips and tricks. I was also part of a mentoring program, and my mentor was the French Sales Commercial Director. I learned so much from this experience on a lot of levels: technically, personally and culturally.”

Aside from her foreign language skills, it’s also her dynamic and positive personality that helps Bianca enjoy her job. She loves being on top of things and having to react quickly to new situations and challenges. “I’m always fully prepared,” Bianca said with a smile. “I really put my heart into this work, into solving things and making others around me feel good.”

The key to sales success!

One thing that Bianca especially enjoys about her job is negotiating. She always aims for finding the best solution for each party involved, and that’s also how she interprets her role as a partner to her customers. “I wouldn’t be able to sell something that is not the best for the customer. If I want to get the best possible outcome for myself, I have to be a trusted advisor to my customers because I will still be working with them in the future. How can I be the partner they need if I am not playing with open cards?” And that’s also exactly the philosophy we follow at Veeam. Our business model is based on safety and security, so we have to base our partnerships in trust and collaboration.

“I learned so much from this experience on a lot of levels: technically, personally and culturally”.

Her commitment and enthusiasm were soon rewarded: “As part of my career progression, I was included in the Aspiring Leaders Program, where I learned and built my skills, to become a Team Leader. Now I can leave a mark on the way Veeamers grow and learn to deliver the best results. This job really never gets boring here at Veeam, especially if you keep an open mind to the fact that there’s always more to learn.”
