JTI’s New Tech Hub in Romania: Mission, Expertise, and Growth Opportunities

Japan Tobacco International (JTI), one of the first multinational companies in Romania, present locally since 1993, has established a Global Digital & IT Hub in Bucharest, with approximately 160 experts.
This is one of the three IT hubs in Europe, showing JTI's high trust in Romania's talent and company focus on innovation.
The main goal of JTI’s Digital & IT Hub in Romania is to support JTI's worldwide operations in all digital aspects. The Digital&IT Hub is important for JTI’s global strategy, helping to make things more efficient and driving technological progress across JTI operations around the globe including 36 factories and 8 research and development centers.
160 experts bring a variety of technical skills and use key technologies every day like: advanced data analytics including AI, software engineering, software development, cybersecurity, project management and infrastructure operations, to name a few. The team manages complex systems and applications which are part of JTI’s global IT infrastructure, becoming a vital component in maintaining the company's technological edge and such contribute to company growth.
