JTI Romania este membră a Japan Tobacco International, important producător internațional de tutun cu circa 46.000 de angajați, în 130 de țări, având sediul central în Geneva, Elveția.
JTI și-a început activitatea în România în 1993 (ca R.J. Reynolds), și a fost una dintre primele companii multinaționale care a investit pe plan local. De atunci, am continuat să investim în oameni, în mărci și în fabrica din București, recunoscută în grupul JTI pentru eficiență și excelența în execuție. Circa 75% din producția fabricii merge la export, în peste 70 de țări din toată lumea.
Avem peste 1.500 de angajați în sediul din București, fabrică, în hub-ul IT recent înființat și în cele peste 30 de birouri de vânzări din toată țara. Transformăm tutunul brut în țigarete de calitate, destinate celor mai exigente gusturi. Producem și vindem unele dintre cele mai cunoscute branduri la nivel local și, de asemenea, suntem un jucător important în categoria tutunului încălzit.
JTI Romania a fost certificată Top Employer, pentru a 12-a oară consecutiv și este certificată Global Equality Standard (GES), Equal Opportunities și Equal Pay! GES, acordată de Ernst & Young (EY), este singura certificare de diversitate și incluziune (D&I), la nivel mondial, care măsoară șansele egale.
Aceste certificări sunt o dovadă că în JTI folosim unele dintre cele mai bune practici referitoare la oameni, cultură organizațională și condiții de muncă.
Succesul în afaceri ne-a ajutat să construim o relație solidă cu comunitatea locală. Susținem cele mai prestigioase evenimente și instituții culturale pentru că noi, la JTI, avem convingerea că succesul trebuie împărtășit. Compania este partener al FITS, TIFF, susține Grădina Japoneză din Parcul Herăstrău, Casa de Ceai din Muzeul Național de Artă și Centrul de Studii Româno-Japoneze. „Întâlnirile JTI”, eveniment anual lansat în anul 2000, a devenit un brand cultural național în dansul contemporan.
JTI susține, de asemenea, din anul 2000, Bursele JTI pentru jurnaliști.
Programul Seniorii JTI, lansat în 1998, este dedicat persoanelor în vârstă, compania susținând și multe alte proiecte sociale în toată țara.
